upcoming flat panels!

i dont yet know how to post links so readers of this thread are on their own. i went to links from 'wide screen review' mag site and found the following flat panels are being worked on: most everyone here has probably heard of 'oled'. sony has 11"(?) oled display to be on sale (supposedly) in dec. 07; shinoda corp @ ceatec show: 1mm thick, 43" plasma prototype (5-10(?) yrs away yet ; gateway: 30", 'quad-HD', 2560x1600 (1600P), w s.o. realta hqv chip, will display 4 hd sources simultaneously, upscales 1080p to 1600p, around $1700, not sure when it goes to market. that one sounds the most exciting!...... DISCLAIMER: ive been known to make mistakes so if any of this turns out to be inaccurate , please forgive me, it wasnt intentional.

Normally displays larger than hd are listed as 4k or 8k, which equals 8million or 32million pixels. 2560:1600 is a bit unsual, and if made by a computer manufacturer, I wonder about the contrast ratio and the image quality.

Look at the first paragraph in the linked article above.

I believe it is inaccurate to say that Mr Shinoda is the inventor of the PDP. This has been an ongoing topic. it's my understanding the first PDP was developed in the US. Fujitsu was one of the first to market a PDP for consumer use but it or Mr. Shinoda didn't invent the PDP.
