42-50" FP recommendations (details inside)

As much as I love my 60" Sony SXRD, I don't really have the space for it anymore. If all goes well, I'll have about $1500 and no TV tomorrow, and... I need a flat panel. It will be in the following role:

Video sources (by usage priority, descending)
-Laptop with DVI-HDMI adaptor, playing about 40% 16:9, 40% 4:3, and 20% 2.31:1 content. Anime, movies, and TV series. Occasional game of Stepmania.
-The occasional PS2 game (mostly 4:3)
-Eventually an Xbox360 w/Guitar hero games (16:9)

Size: 42"-50". It'll be sitting on my lovely brick of a desk from Ikea, and I'll be watching from like 2.5' away when at the desk and from the couch about 6 feet away.

Priorities: note that I'm coming from an SXRD...I like my contrast and low blacks. I have control over lighting in the room this'll be in, but the vast majority of the time the lights will be *on*.

I'd REALLY like 1:1 pixel mapping from a VGA, DVI, or HDMI source. From 6 feet away it's not essential but up close...for text...yeah, it is.

What else...120Hz would be nice but I'm not picky at my price range. Low image processing time would be nice (for rhythm gaming like DDR/Guitar Hero).

My budget: <$2k street. No need to mention prices as that's not allowed anyway, so just stick to that. I'll consider anything & everything current or last gen, and 1080p isn't...critical...but would be nice.

Right now my shortlist:
-Samsung LN-T4665F (CNet likes it but I'm concerned about the reporte HDMI troubles...anyone have experience with it being fed by a computer at 1:1?)
-Panasonic TH-50PX77U (black level retention problems, only 720p, and no word on whether it can handle dot for dot by HDMI from a PC, but apparently really good anti-glare screen)
-Panasonic TH-42PZ700U (no black level retention problems, 1080p, mediocre antiglare screen, can do HDMI dot for dot from a PC, but only 42")
-Panasonic TH-50PZ700U (no word on black level retention, 1080p, mediocre antiglare, can do HDMI dot for dot)

Considered, eliminated:
-Pioneer PDP5080 (forget the MSRP, at lowest street price it's too expensive, and only at 720p!)

Also:

If anyone knows a monitor that can accept PC RGB colorspace (0-255 brightness) TELL ME!!!
