D-nice's comparison, and thats why i posted those shots.. is not 5084 vs kuro
its my canon ds950is vs cybertec's nikon d200 all that bluish which should be grayish and wherever the camera overbrightens all that detail is gone same camera @ kuro vs sam and you'll all be surprised how close.. ![]() |

How close do you feel ZZ that the 5084 comes to replicating the "print screens" in real life with the lights off?
ZZ could you describe the black levels on the 5084 when watching with the lights off? Do the blacks actually look and feel like a deep dark inky black? Thanks! |

Wow. You need to get that camera in check because I'm seeing more than just a blue tint. It looks as if your primary/secondary colors, gamma, and grayscale are skewed big time.

I just need to decide at this point if I should jump on the pio 6010 or get the 5080 and wait 1-2 more generations and buy another set then. A print screen is when you use a blu-ray drive in a computer and capture that actual digital 1080p output untouched and unprocessed. Those print screens are the closest replication to what the content should actually look like but it is transfered to a JPEG. If you had a calibrated computer monitor the print screens would basically show you the picture exactly as the director intended for you to see them. Basically they make for a great reference to the shots taken with a digital camera, but only if the shots with the digital camera are close to accurate which ZZ's are not. |

![]() unfortunately print screen takes the pix @ video output not @ tv but the way i see the prints on my display theyre an exact match, the way you see'em on your display depends on your display would be cool if you can plug in an usb drive into the tv and actually take an exact pic of what the tv displays, but i dont know how that would go with holywood though, most likely they would call that "illegal" |
