San Jose OTA Channel 2-1 and 4-1

Hi,

Quick questions for the forum members in San Jose, CA area.

1) I have 2-1, 4-1, 5-1, 7-1, 9-1, 11-1... for few year now. I can't tell when but lately I have no reception for 2-1 and 4-1 only, all other channels I have to problem, from 5-1 to 11-1, have no problem... Any idea why? Is it just depending on the time of the day? or what is the deal?

2) Also, I just set up a DirectTV HD DVR box. They try to upsell me their local channel and the sales told me that in 2009, I will NOT able to receive any local channels from my OTA antenna. Is it truth?

Thank you

Please ask your first question in the San Francisco OTA thread.

To answer your second question, the 2009 shutoff applies only to analog stations; digital OTA feeds will remain available.
