There’s a new 4K/UHD HDR OLED TV in town—the Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Eclipse. Based on the LG OLED panel, B&O has added its own style.
Perhaps most obviously, the Eclipse has a large soundbar below the screen that is wider than the screen itself. This SoundCenter embodies three channels with three 4″ woofers and one 1″ tweeter in the center and a 2.5″ full-range driver on the left and right, all powered by a total of 450 watts. The SoundCenter can provide the left, center, and right channels or act as a center-channel speaker.
In addition, you can connect up to 16 additional speakers to the TV, which includes a built-in 7.1-channel surround processor. When used as a center speaker with other B&O speakers, the SoundCenter matches them perfectly in terms of performance and timbre.
The BeoVision Eclipse implements LG’s webOS 3.5 with streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, TuneIn Radio, Spotify, and Deezer. You can cast music from mobile devices with Bluetooth and AirPlay, and Chromecast is built in.
Available as an option, the motorized Planet Stand lets you turn the TV by as much as 90° left or right at the touch of a button on the remote. Also available are a motorized and manual wall mount.

According to Stefan K. Persson, Executive VP, Bang & Olufsen Home, “By merging LG Electronics’ OLED TV technology to the Bang & Olufsen experience, we have reached an even higher level and created the ultimate TV experience. That is why we have chosen the name ‘Eclipse’ – two outstanding objects meet and create something even more spectacular and beautiful.”
The BeoVision Eclipse will be available starting in November in two sizes: 55″ for $9995 and 65″ for $14,995. The Planet Stand and motorized wall bracket are each $2195, while the manual wall bracket is $995.
