I have the Vip722 with two TVs hooked up to it. It seems like the remote for tuner 2 lasts about three weeks before I get the REMOTE BATTERY LOW message. Does anyone else experience this or is there something wrong with my remote?

I have a VIP622 and am getting about 3-4 weeks out of the bat for the RF remote also. It seems like every time I turn around I am replacing the bats. I have 2 RF remotes for two different rooms it seems like this did not start happening until I added the 2nd remote. Do you have 2 RF remotes are the just the one that came with the 722?

I have two remotes but the one for tuner 1 is an IR remote for the room that has the VIP722 in it. I use HT receiver remote most of the time in that room to control the VIP but even so, I think the batteries in that remote will last a good while. Three weeks seems pretty bad for battery life in a remote. I had batteries for an RF remote for a Sony satellite box that lasted over a year.

If you include the ir remote then I have 3. I agree 3-4 weeks is not very long for bats to last these days.

I have had the 722 since September of 2007. Same batteries going strong, no low battery error yet....

So, you're saying there's a chance?

I have had E for 4 years or so. The remotes appear to be the same as I had before.

Maybe you have crappy batteries. Radio Shack had the best at one time. I use Costco and they are pretty good.
