Is there any way to defragment the hard drive on the DVR or should I just seek out getting a replacement? We starting seeing the curious behavior where the DVR would state its at 80% capacity, and then upon recording one SD show, it would state there was no more space on the device. That was several months ago. Deleting one program would magically bring the utilized content back to 80%. The 80% threshold has slowly but steadily crept down to now being closer to 60%.
My provider is Patriot Media - soon to be Comcast.
