My parents have a Dish 625 DVR. It was installed to operate two TV's. They were told that if they were recording something and wanted to watch live TV...it would push the recording to the other tuner/tv.

Primary TV and receiver are in the living room.

Secondary TV is in the bedroom.

If they are watching the primary TV and select something to record, but then choose to watch live TV...it will push the recording the 2nd tuner and allow them to do so.

Now here is the question...

If they are watching the secondary TV where the recording is...can they not switch tuners, push the recording to the primary TV, and watch live TV?

This is very confusing to me. I had DISH before and a 625, but I only used it for one TV.

Thank you!
