Anyone else with the newer model HD-DVR having issues with skipping/freezing while using an hdmi cable? I've tried three different cables with no better results. I've heard that Directv's HD-DVR's have had issues with any hdmi usage and most people end up using the green/blue/red cable.

HDMI, HR21-700 here with a constant freeze problem (at least once a day). Menus are slow to load, freezing during FF/rewind. This is my third box and now Direct TV says software fixes are on the way. A few more weeeks of this and it's off to Dish Network for me.

There is a mass problem with DVR's right now. Members at dbstalk.com are documenting this and there is a very large number of people right now that are reporting freezing with their DVR's and having to restart them.

I have the HR-21 DVR paired with the samsung LN52A850 and the picture was constantly jumping around using HDMI (I thought it was the AMP function on the Samsung), then I changed to component video and it eliminated the studder. Although, it didnt eliminate it until I powered down my entire system and restarted my HR-21. Now the picture is smooth like it was with my HR-20.

I contacted DirecTV tech support and the lady I talked to said this was a known issue in the past and that she thought it had been fixed. Anyone else having the studder issue?
