since adding an external harddrive enclosure to my pvr I get a lot of stuttering during playback. I'm using a seagate 7200rpm connected via usb to the pvr. Is this normal or is there any resolutions to this problem? thanks

Might be a cache that's too small? My Philips DVDR3575's use a good Seagate 7200 rpm HDD, but it only has a 2MB cache, which is OK for my SD stuff. The new Magnavox H2160, which is a clone of the 3575, has a Hitachi HDD with an 8MB cache.
