I have the same box as you for about the same length of time but have yet to get a message from Comcast. It is probably the same as my older digital cable box that had a red light that would come on when a new message was waiting. Simply go into your main menu and scroll to the right for the bar marked "messages". Click on that, read your message, and then hit "delete" or "save".
