I was going to change my DVR over to a HDMI connection as opposed to my current component/coax digital set-up since it would be easier conceal the cord from the box to my Integra 9.8 pre/pro. However, even with the HDMI cable connected, I can't select "1080p" in the resolution menu even though it cautions "HDMI cable required". Am I missing something simple?

No cable or satellite DVR exists with 1080p60 output. The 1080p option is used to output 1080p24 on HD VOD/PPV. If your display/receiver doesn't "advertise" that it supports 1080p24 over HDMI (EDID), then you won't be able to select that option.

Thanks for your reply. I'm running the signal thru an Integra 9.8 pre/pro to a Mits HC6500 projector. I'll research the EDID support for each as I think they do 1080p24 over HDMI but I know just enough to be dangerous :-)
