I'm moving into my first house (yeah me), and ordering FiOS. What I'm not sure about is whether to go with the Verizon DVR's, or go with TiVo.

Can anyone that's used both give impressions? Part of my issue is that I'd like to share content between a few rooms. While both offer it, I'm not sure which performs better.

Also, do you have to get a subscription for each TiVo?

I cannot comment on FiOS's own MRV implementation, but regarding the TiVo's, yes, each TiVo must have a currently-valid subscription in order to take advantage of any broadband features between them.
