Where can I buy one new or used with a guarentee?

I have verizon fios and they charge about $20/month for a dvr cable box. I see people selling the motorola DCT6412 on ebay, but they cannot guarentee that they will activate. I called verizon and they said motorola with a card will work for me, but I cannot find where to buy them. New or used is fine, I just dont like ebay cuase its some dude who sells you stuff, wether it works or not.

Tivo or moxi is not an option as I want only 1 box to do both and with them things you lose your on demand and payper view

You cannot buy a Motorola (or SA) cable box off eBay and have it work with your cableco. Doubly so with FiOS - the DCH/DCT series devices will *not* work with FiOS under any circumstances. The FiOS boxes are QIP-family devices, which use and support IP-based transport for communication with the FiOS headend. You can't just jam a CableCARD into a DCH-family unit (and the DCT-family units don't accept CableCARDs besides).

Your only purchasable options are the Moxi and the TiVo HD; if they're not acceptable to you, you're out of luck. Sorry.
