I have been a huge Tivo user and supporter for almost 10 years now, but I am thinking of switching over to SageTV. I am using the old HR10-250 HD Tivo on DirecTV and record primarily network TV shows off of the antennea. There are also a few cable shows we record, maybe 10%.

I am thinking of buying the SageTV HD Theater 300 so that I can record and stream TV shows that I would record (replace the Tivo) as well as the movies and music I have on my computer.

Is there anyone out there that has experience both both that can that help me?

With SageTV, does the remote work as well as the Tivo remote? If I watch a football game recorded on SageTV, can I fast forward and go back as quickly and as easily as I can with the Tivo?

Will the WAF be as high for SageTV as it is with Tivo now? My wife is VERY anti-technology, so making a change like this could be a hard sell.

Will I be giving up any features on the Tivo that SageTV does not have? Does SageTV record "Law & Order" or does it record by the date and time? Can I setup a season pass with SageTV?

Thanks for the help.
