The DVR function of my TW SA8000 has quit entirely. A message tells me to contact TW which I have done. They'll be replacing my box in a week or so. It runs Pioneer software.

Rebooting by unplugging does not help. Anyone know how to do a hard (low-level??) reboot on this unit?

You can reboot by holding in the power button and then letting go. But really it does the same thing as unplugging it. Also if you have TW as your cable provider, try channel 611 that should be the diagnostic channel. If you are getting a warning when hit the list button about a hard drive problem, i have had that happen several times. I think your best bet is to go and retrieve a box yourself from your local office. Since there is a hard drive inside i don't trust that they won't bang it around and cause hard drive problems.
