It seems to go like this:

Series Record show A (which runs from 8:30 to 9:00 on channel X).
Series Record show B (which runs from 9:00 to 9:30 on channel X).
Series Record show C (which runs from 9:00 to 10:00 on channel Y).

This should all work fine. Then go in and change show A's recording preferences to record 2 min early & 2 min late (because the network never seems to be on time with the local cable co). No warning is given, even though this would seem problematic because there are only 2 tuners.

Result:
Show A records from 8:28 to 9:00.
Show B records from 9:00 to 9:01. (!!!)
Show C records from 9:00 to 10:00.

And there seems to be no warning at all that this is going to happen. Change show A's settings to start & end on time and all is well (except for the network time sync problem).

Since they move the shows around time slots now and then, it seems like using the before & after recording extensions is a dangerous thing. You never know when it's going to mess you up.

Anyone else see this behavior?

Welcome to the brave new world of the networks f%$!ing around with the schedule to mess with the general public. AFAIK, this confounds everyone using a PVR. The only recourse is to write naster letters to the offending stations and consider purchasing multiple PVRs to resolve conflicts.

If Necessity is the mother of invention, then Laziness is surely the father.

Haven't noticed that one yet but I have documented MANY, MANY other bugs in the software for the SA 8000. And I have only used it for 1 week!

The worst is it automatically deleted 10 recordings on me that were specifically marked to be saved until I manually deleted them.

I tell you what would be nice. A complete delete option. so I don't have to delete 30 shows one by one. Other than that, I haven't seen any glitches. Staten Island NY
