Anyone know if Comcast will offer a PVR in Seattle soon? If so, what are the odds it'll be standard vs. HD?

Given that you have 3,080 posts on me :p, I'll believe you know what you're talking about, but do you have any links for that? I can't find any info anywhere!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Great news, bnbhoha!! I see most of the big cable companies doing this to keep their customers from switching to Dish Network. I sold my RCA PVR/DVD player on eBay, I didn't want to wait until it became a brick. :p I feel bad for everyone jumping on the cheap Tivos right now, unless it'll be for a bedroom TV/guest room. Plus, they'll be HD!! :D

I also just picked up my second HD box from them, so it's $10.10/month for my two. Any idea what the cost of the DVR's will be? :)

My brother was the one who jumped on one of those cheap tivos. What a pain to set up. He has to use the tivo along w/ the HD cable box. Just a messy setup. You can call and ask to be put on a notification list once they come out; they will call you.

I read somewhere that the service would be $5/month + $10 to rent the HD PVR box. Total = $15/month (supposidly)

Wow, they're going to keep getting rich. It wouldn't make much sense to only have an HD box if it's $10 more for the PVR, so I'll be giving them $30 for the two HD PVR boxes. Add that to my digial package w/Starz!, $30 for digital phone service, $45.95 for the cable modem, and they'll be getting about $180/month from me. I'd go do installs PT on the weekends if they'd give me a break on service! :D

Depends on your region, but usually if you have two comcast things, they give you a discount. It appears you have 3 (phone, internet, cable). I would call to see if you can get a disount for having all three. Also, if you pay for internet for the entire year, you get one month free (have to call them). In additon, why not drop Starz and sign up for Netflix?

Called them again to put a buddy on the list, but the customer serivce said there is no list??? Not what they told me a couple of months ago. They also said the roll out date is November 15th for WA. No price quote.
It will have dual tuners, as we already know, and no need for a telephone line.
