I just received a BMC9012 via Adlepha SoCal. It is hooked up via component video to my Mitsu 55" RPTV. The installer was out when I was not at home.

The first thing I noticed was a big drop in picture quality on all but the HD channels. HD looks about as good as before. The other images are grainy and unsharp relative to the old digital cable box connection.

Anyone have any idea whether this is endemic to the new box, there is a setting that needs to be adjusted, or a different way of connecting everyting together?

Thanks for the help.

Hi

It was installed today this same model in SoCal too. The installer very friendly check my connection signal and said that I need have certain level to the Moxi DVR works very neatly, I can suggest go to the settings and change the TV Screen resolution preferences, maybe that works to you.

The installer said that the Moxi box have a splitter inside with 3 services, so is very important that you cable installation have a good signal.

I think it is endemic to the box. Their analog tuner is faulty.

At the same time, I switched between my VCR tuner, which was better PQ than my ReplayTV tuner (which is re-compressed video), which was far better than the Moxi tuner. I was shocked at how bad it was. My installer said it was a "known problem, but the digital channels are OK ". Duh.
