I have Cox DCT6400 box. (New 09/13, dual tuner) From what I have read I cannot record directly out of it to a PVR.

I was thnking about trying this.

Run a video out (Suchas S Video) to a TV Tuner Card in a computer and try to capture a movie. Then record it?

Anyone do this?
Any card recommendations?
Can you run a splitter on the cable and hook cable directly up to the TV Tuner card?

Inquiring minds.

Thanks

flh,

Yes, you can do that. For recommendations on PC cards / tuners, see the AVS' HTPC forum.
