This is probably not the right place to post this, but here goes anyways.
I have a camcorder that has a mini-av plug which I can hook my cable up to my Hauppauge 250 capture card, however only for composite or s-video only, as the audio plugs don't fit in the hauppauge card, as it only has a mini-jack for audio. The camcorder also has a 1394 firewire port.
1. Can I connect the camera to the Hauppauge card with s-video for video and then attach a mini-jack splitter thing to the l/r audio plugs to input to the hauppauge card's audio port?
2. Can I connect the firewire cable to the firewire port on my Audigy2 ZS Platinum sound card and receive the video and audio from the camera that way? If so, what software program should I use to receive it through the firewire port.
3. Which of the above two methods (assuming both could work) would theoretically provide the best picture quality?
Thanks in advance.
