Beware if you're using the SA8000 and Time Warner: I just noticed that, although the clock was updated to standard time, the guide was not! So, for example, my Friday recording of Enterprise was actually going to record two episodes of That 70s Show that come on 1 hour earlier.

Is anyone else seeing this problem? Everyone may need to check and reset all their recordings.

Tell me about it!! Last Wednesday I didn't get "Lost" or "Smallville" because it was trying to record them at 6:00 pm. It did, however, record "CSI: NY" at 9:00 pm.

That's a really stupid "bug" in the software.

kgforce: Since you're a TWC - Houston customer: have you had a problem with any scheduled recordings being dropped? For example, I have Stargate SG-1 set to record Fridays at 8, and Stargate Atlantis set for Fridays at 9. Every single week the SG-1 scheduled recording somehow gets deleted. I have to check it and reschedule it every week before Friday. The Atlantis scheduled recording is unaffected. Ever had this problem?

I'm kind of surprised that the bug is still there....

I remember discovering last year....lots of stuff scheduled before the time change.....and then I expected to find lots of stuff waiting to be watched during the Thanksgiving holidays....

....only to find out that it didn't record anything....because all my schedules were time based and didn't match after the time change.

The last straw was leaving for Xmas vacation only to come home to discover that because they applied a software update the day after I left....it had decided that it couldn't find my harddrive anymore (it found it again after they gave my DVR a tap).

I replaced it with a regular cable box and a ReplayTV.....

But, now I have the SA8000HD DVR....I knew there was something I had forgotten to check after the time change...but it seemed to work okay. Though it might be because a number of programs that I have scheduled are set to record the episode at anytime that day...rather than at a specific time.

The difference being that with the SA8000 DVR I mainly used to for digital only shows....but with the SA8000HD DVR I'm also recording shows from the HD versions of NBC, CBS, and UPN....and NBC is known for messing around with start and end times of their shows.

The Dreamer.

You may be a dreamer, but I'm The Dreamer, the definite article you might say!

I can't recall a particular instance when this happened, but I do think it happened once or twice.

I think just a few more tweaks to the SA8000 software would make it a really good machine, instead of a pretty good machine.

I figured out what's happening with the Stargate scheduled recordings, although I don't know why or how to fix it. I record Stargate new episodes on Friday nights at 8. I also have set to record Stargate reruns that come on at 5 Monday through Friday. For each, I set it to record all episodes in that time slot.

It turns out that when I set the Friday at 8 recording, it wipes out the M-F at 5 scheduled recording, and vice versa. I assume it's something about the name of the show that is conflicting and erasing the other scheduled recording. In any event, it appears to be a bug with the SA8000, unless anyone here knows of a solution.

Anyone?
