I am going to need to have both cable (IO Digital from Cablevision) and Dish satellite because of the need to receive certain channels only available on one or the other. I will have high definition on both. I would like to have a DVR of one sort or another, preferably one that could record from both the cable and the satellite. I'd appreciate any suggestions as to the best way to try to accomplish that. Thanks.

No such dual-source DVR exists. You'll need to have one for cable and another for satellite if you want to record from both sources.

Thanks, Randy. I assumed that since I couldn't find one but appreciate you letting me know for sure.
