My 6208 is nearly full and I have some recordings that I want to archive. Is it possible to transfer some of the non HD content back to my VCR? Since I'm using my DTV input from my Mitsubishi WT42313 I'm assuming my VCR is out of the question. I wish I could use my VCR to record everything coming out of the monitor. Presently, it's only used as a second input with my incoming cable split. It will only record basic cable stations. I do own a Mini DV video recorder but don't have a clue how to transfer back to it.

Thanks for the help. Sorry for being a clueless clown.

Sure , hook up composite cables (rca) to the composite out for audio/video on the 6208 and compositte ins on your vcr....you're good to go.

Buy a DVHS deck and archvie in HD.

XBOX Live: Wagmman
PSN: Wagg
BFBC2: Wagman
Steam: Wag

Thanks for the help. I connected the video out from the 6208 to the video in to the VCR. The audio out connections from the 6208 are already used and connected to my TV. Now when I change my VCR to line one I can record video from the the 6208 to the VCR but I have no sound. To complicate matters, I have my cable split and use my VCR as a second tuner since the 6208 only has one tuner. My TV has "Monitor" out audio and video connections but they do not work with my DTV input. I'm not sure what else to try.

Thanks

Get 2 rca Y adapters, male to female, and split the audio signal from the 6208 to vcr and tv. I'm not following you're vcr as a second tuner thing. Doesn't your tv have a tuner?

Non-HD content means this belongs in the non-HD DVR forum. Moved.
