I used to be able to record to my PC from the 1394 port on my Motorola 6412. Now my computer will not detect the box. When I start CapDVS I get the error "Cannot find capture device." I tried three computers and several cables so I know it is a problem with the 6412.

I had HBO and Showtime added to my account which required the cable company to come out to hook up on the pole outside for the analog cable in the house. Since then I have lost the firewire ports. It it possible the filters they installed disabled the ports or the unit is just bad?

I also lost an HD option on the quick setup guide which displayed only HD programming at the same time.
