Has any one had this problem with the SA 8000: Right in the middle of watching/recording a show the machine reboots? I've had this a happen a couple of times in the two months I've had it. Is this normal or what? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

No that's not normal. I've had my SA8000 (w/Passport) for 29 months, i watch it every morning and night, and it never reboots on it's own. Sometimes if you press too many buttons too quickly or try to rush it the thing gets confused, locks up, and reboots but that's my fault. I also have an SA8000HD (over a year now) and it also never reboots on it's own. It should not reboot itself when you're just sitting there watching a show. You might want to turn it in for a new one. Try to get the newer SA8300 if they offer it as it's more stable.

Thanks for the reply Randy. I'll try switching it out as soon as I watch the shows I've recorded.

Thanks again,
