Since the DVR is dual tuner, is there a way to hook it up to two tvs and still get seperate programming without a second receiver?

You cannot output two separate programs. The dual tuners allow for recording two programs simultaneously... but it only has one decoder to actually watch one program at a time.

There are many people that output their TiVos to 2 TVs... but it is idential programming hitting both TVs.

Dish Network has a PVR that does this, the625/522. I have read mixed reviews. It will pipe the video to the second tv (or any tv in your house) through a channel in your coax cablel.
