Just saw this news article:

CES Rumor

High level summary claims Dish and DirecTV will announce they are partnering with TIVO to deliver mobile content. Doesn't this go against everything we have seen regarding D* and TIVO?

Aint going to happen. D* recently severed their ties with Tivo to go with their own DVR.

I don't think it's that hard to believe it may happen. Direct TV TiVos are the only TiVos that don't have this functionality in some capacity....I suspect this is just an agreement to allow DirectTV users to get what regular TiVo customers already have.

As for DirectTV's DVR....it hasn't exactly been getting rave reviews.
