Does it show the correct recording time for the program that you recorded?
Have you tried turning off the box, unplugging it and restarting it?

There is no "best", best is what's best for you...

Have you tried searching first?

I have unplugged and replugged the box

i can even replicate it when ever i want
(seems certain channel combinations will always cause it)

I also have found a similar problem (Phase III 6412), but my initial impression is that it has to do with how I play the recordings.
When I test-recorded 2 shows simultaneously, and then played (resumed) both recordings, they both played back fine.
However, when I test-recorded two shows simultaneously, and then played (restarted) both recordings, the second recording would immediately show "Delete" "Don't Delete".

I did not use fixed channels in my tests, so it could still be the combination of channels that caused the bug rather than how the recordings were initially played.
I'll do some more tests today.

This is the worst kind of recording bug - you think the show's been recorded, but it hasn't been (or at least you can't watch it)!!!

Any one else experience similar problems?

Had the same exact problem when recording Monk on USA and BSG on SCIFI. I was watching the beggining of BSG live and I couldn't pause or rewind. When I tried to pause or rewind the anti symbol (circle with line through it) popped up on the reording bar. I was able to watch Monk (can't remember but I think I started watching before the show was over), but when I tried to watch BSG I got the delete option when I tried to play it. The time said 60 out of 60. I tried resume watching and watch from the beggining to no avail. So I just deleted it and recorded the 1:00 a.m. showing. Anyone find a solution/reason for this yet?

I tested the problem again, and confirmed that it is due to CHANNEL COMBINATIONS, not how you first play the recording.
I tested Fox (ch 2) and UPN (ch 12), and UPN failed to properly record.
I have not found a solution personally, nor by googling.

This is BAD! A dual-tuner DVR that may or may not record two shows at once?
