I don't think charter has DVRs. You can get a stand alone tivo or replay too hook up to your charter.

Charter uses the SA8000 dvr. I'm not sure if they have the 8300or HD versions, but my son has the 8000.

We have Charter in Ft. Worth and lease their Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000. It works pretty well. They recently went up on the monthly charge, though.

It's pretty skimpy on details except that you must have digital cable to get it.
