EDIT: Sorry I meant to post this in the ReplayTV Forum - Please delete

Rtv5ktools Processing Assistant Utility (final name pending)

What is it?
A windows application that helps ReplayTV 5K (4K?) users who use Dvarchive and a video editor ( e.g. to remove commercials) and wish to reimport the files into DVArchive.

What does it do?
After the user has edited their mpeg(s) with a video editor (Womble, VideoRedoPlus, etc.), the following workflow is assisted/automated:

1. rtvconvert these videos
2. delete the unedited/pre-rtvconvtered videos
3. move the rtvconverted mpeg (also ndx & evt) files to another directory for import into DVArchive
4. Rename the original xml file to match the rtvconverted mpeg file name

I follow the above stated workflow with Womble when removing commercials and found the process tedious. A batch file could be made, but I also wanted the challenge of making a configurable, gui application that other ReplayTV users could possibly use. evtEdit probably does alot of the above, but maybe it has too many other features not needed for the above workflow. It also requires the .N.E.T framework, while this application will not. This utility will also run multiple rtvconvert instances to process multiple videos at a time.

The application is currently being developed and is probably about halfway done for a first release.

I just wanted to post here and see if anyone had any interest, thoughts or comments about the idea.
