Hi all, I have a quick Q. -

I'm starting to look into HTPC's again, and would really like to go digital, as in digital cable/satallite. This used to not be possible, does anyone know if that's changing? I'd like to be able to get satallite (dish network) but use my own built HTPC to record.

Are there any new cards that can do this?

Which do you recommend?

Thanks and good luck to everyone and their HT needs.

I have seen cards with a QAM tunner, but they are not cheep! (QAM is what you need for digital cable) Google it

There are FTA (Free To Air) satellite cards out there that when coupled with the right software can receive Dish Network BUT you would be stealing it.

A 'phile and his money are soon parted...
