I recently acquired a brand new Humax LCD screen. This particular model has a built in 40gb hard drive with a record feature. It also has the option to plug a Mass USB storage device via usb into the back of it, and save recorded programmes to it, which you can also later access. I think these files are stored as mpeg.

My question is, is it possible to watch an AVI from my computer on my tv via the usb hard drive? I'm supposing it's likely I'll have to convert anything that isn't an mpeg. I tried simply copying a few files over and seeing if they would be displayed on the screens menu (without much hope, had to try anyway), but nothing came up (if my memory serves me correctly when you record a programme it also creates some kind of an index file). I've tried searching google for a few answers, but couldn't think of the appropriate way to quiz the engine on something quite as specific as this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
