Hi Guys, I have an old answering machine with some messages I'd like to keep . Apart from putting a mic in front of it, how can I record the messages off of it.

Thanks
George

Well unless it has an audio output jack or a headphone jack, you're stuck with putting a microphone in front of it.

I recorded my late mother's messages on my ZEN Vision M MP3 Player (it has a voice recorder function) by holding it close to the answering machine's speaker one quiet morning, then downloaded them to my PC. The ZEN saves voice recordings as WMV files.
