Ok, here's the deal - i've got a Toshiba RD-XS35 and I'm getting an error message that the Hard Drive's currupted and indicates i should format it to try to correct the problem. I've tried resetting the device but no good.
Prob is the HD was practically full of a whole season of shows i havren't watched, so I'd rather not format the Drive.
Is there any way to fix this issue without formating the drive? can i pull the drive out and through it into my computer and run a disk check utility on it or something?? etc..
any ideas would be appreciated.
ps - Toshiba RD-SX35 - always worked OK but extremely slow responding to commands - ie press a button and wait 7- 15 or more seconds for it to resond (real frustrating) - never would have bought it had i known in advance.
