The Motorola 3412 has Ethernet and USB connections. Is it possible to connect this device to a home PC network in order to watch content stored on the network on the TV that's attached to the DVR?

No. The TiVo is the only HDTV DVR with that feature.

Create DVDs: Three Easy Steps
  1. Automatically download SD and HD recordings from the DVR to your computer in MPEG2 format with Dolby Digital 5.1.

Alternatively, you can use any web browser as seen here.

  2. Automatically remove commercials using VideoRedo TVSuite.

Red areas are deleted commercials. Note the "Create DVD" button at the bottom right.

  3. Burn commercial-free to DVD with Dolby Digital 5.1.
