I have a Comcast HD-DVR, Motorola DCT6412 phase III.
How do I transfer a recorded (to DVR) program to VCR? And can I do it without "watching" the program (while watching something else)? I tried searching for this answer, but found nothing?
I'd appreciate any help available. Thanks, G.W.

You have to play the program normally to record it, there is no other way. Don't bring up menus or guide or anything while playing the program or that will be recorded to. Just connect the VCR using the composite video and stereo analog audio (RCA jacks) output from the DVR to the VCR's inputs. Set your VCR to select Line input and record while playing the particular program. Just go and do something while its playing if you don't want to watch it, your TV doesn't have to be on while its playing.

Thanks Joxer, I'll give that a try.
The bad thing is that what I need to transfer is the 3-2hr. installments of "Commanche Moon". It's for my brother-in-law. Except for the cinematography, I didn't really care for it. Wish I'd kept my big mouth shut when I told him I'd DVR'd it! Oh well, "insert foot" time.
Thanks again, G.W.
