I get spotty reception on my XM (OEM) in my 2010 Prius, mainly in areas with lots of trees and hills (NY Hudson Valley, to be specific). It's a problem I didn't have with the after-market XM receiver on my 2004 Prius, and that my wife doesn't have with the OEM XM in her 2004 Honda Accord. So it's not just the topography, it's something about the Prius antenna.
Question: Is there a way to boost the reception sensitivity of my car's antenna? I asked Toyota, and got no answer, either from my dealer or from Toyota corporate. And got nothing on my Prius forum, either. I'm open to buying whatever is available, or to jerry-rigging a homemade solution.
