I'm normally pretty good with electronics, but need a little help if anyone has experience with this. Have a Sirius Starmate5 dock-and-play radio in the wife's vehicle, and wanting to get a home docking unit to be able to connect it to our home theater / stereo system. Have an older Yamaha HTR-5730 home theater / tuner that's not "satellite ready" like the newer, more expensive models. Is there a Sirius home docking unit that would work with the Yamaha? I have the PDF version of the Yamaha owner's manual I could e-mail if that helps. From what I'm seeing online at the Siruius site with the their docking units, they seem to show an RS232 connector along with 2 audio connectors for a home theater or stereo system to work. I don't have the RS232 jack on the Yamaha, but do have available empty audio jacks for whatever auxiliary components.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

There's an audio cable that comes with the dock. Red and white for left and right audio it will plug into the audio inputs on the back of your reciever.

Here is a great source for Sat gear:
