Home docking kit problem

I have an old Sirius Streamer that I move from vehicle to vehicle. I have one home docking kit hooked up to a boombox via the supplied 3.5 mm cable. But I want to hook up another home docking kit in a different part of the house to a radio that has no input jack. Can I use one of those cheap FM transmitters that are sold on Amazon and Ebay? They are usually 12 volt but I have some 12 volt ( actually 5 volt) power supplies. If I understand how it will work I will plug the transmitter into my power supply and run the 3.5 mm cable to my docking kit. Then you just set the radio and he transmitter to the same frequency. Will this work? I am open to any other ideas? Thanks.

It will work as long as the transmitter is some what close to your tuner.

most of the cheap fm transmitters should have no problem with that.
