Roku SXM app sound quality?

What quality sound does the siriusxm app on Roku stream at?

I have it on my streaming stick and a roku3 as well as my Sony Bravia.

I noticed it plays at a low quality, sounds hollow and at 2.0 pcm 48hz while the app on my Sony tv plays back at dolby digital and sounds fuller with deeper bass ..

I have max setting checked off on the web version and thought it would cross platform.

Sony OLED XBR-65A1E| XBR65X950B|XBR55X900B|2-BR100/Subs|4K X10 Player

The Roku app is very basic and bare bones, the sound is of quite a poor quality.

I don't know why Sirius doesn't improve it, but their other apps are of poor quality too. I use the Android app a lot, much higher sound quality though.

Once Upon a Time...

I had a SXM subscription about ten years ago. Since I primarily listen to classical music, I always found the audio they were offering to be of very low quality, with no attention at all to audio levels or sound quality. And especially, if I turned up the audio enough to keep the music at a comfortable listening level, the annoying and incredibly intrusive promos every ten minutes or so were so loud it felt like they were attempting to blow out my speakers! So I eventually dumped SXM entirely.

When I saw an SXM channel appear on Roku, I figured I'd give them another chance; surely by now, after ten years, they'd have gotten their sh*t together!

But sure enough: there was no improvement at all in their audio quality, still with the annoying and incredibly intrusive promos every ten minutes or so...

So thanx anyway, SXM, And I don't want to even start the rant about the app; one big kludge, and barely usable! No surprise there.
