Sirius Antenna through wall keystone module

I am trying to run a Sirius antenna through a wall with a disconnect at the wall plate (keystone module)

I don't see a SMB keystone module so I thought I would try and just cut the ends and put on RCA style plugs but it does not work. Must be too much resistance or something? I get no reception.

I can just hook up the bare wires from the 2 cut ends and it will work without the RCA connectors.

I see they sell SMB connectors to coaxial.
So if I get 2 of those connectors (one for inside the wall and one for outside the wall) and use it with a F type connector will this work or am I going to have the same problems like with the RCA plugs

On Sirius antennas is the SMB a male or female connector?

Thanks
