I currently have XM radio in my living room system.
I want to also access this from my upstairs theater room. I saw on one web site an accessory that came with a transmitter and a receiver to put upstairs that also aloud control of the unit downstairs. Ive now searched again for this and cannot find it. No one else carries it.
Anyone else know what I saw and where to find it.

Thanks!

There are a few people on our forum (siriusbackstage.com) that have used them in the past and had very good results from them.

Alan, I don't see any reference to any ability to control the XM receiver from a remote room...it's just a low-power FM stereo transmitter. But one of these along with the CCrane device would put you in business:

Click on the Owner's Manual...the pdf indicates that it replicates IR signals remotely.

I haven't used that particular model, but I do use an FM transmitter I built from a kit at Ramsey Electronics (FM10a) when I go outside to mow the lawn.

Another alternative if you have a computer in both locations is to use the XMPCR. I can give you more info on how to do it if it applies in your situation...

Sorry, Alan, I was out of town (took my Dad to a baseball game and had a great time).

You shouldn't have any trouble hooking the PC's up wirelessly and using the XMPCR on one and the other. What I do on mine is to have the PCR in my theater/office hooked into my receiver for listening while I am working. The laptop I keep in the bedroom is also setup to control the PCR, and the audio can be streamed to the laptop for listening as I fall asleep. (after taking careful consideration to keep the stream on my local network only, of course).

The stock software doesn't allow for controlling from multiple locations, so I put togther a program that DOES allow me to control the PCR from multiple computers simultaneously (and adds a host of other features). It works great.

For anyone else who is interested in the PCR, you can read about it at http://xmpcr.xmradio.com and if you are interested in more details, xmfan.com also has a forum devoted to that piece of hardware with tons of information...
