I know this is an automobile question, but it is audio-related and I'm hoping someone can help.

I just bought a new RX8 last week. I do love the car, but of course, I hate the stock head unit. Problem is that this thing is completely integrated with the climate controls and so swapping it out for a regular 1 or 2 DIN unit isn't an option for me at this point.

What I need is an auxillary input. This is not going to be easy. The head unit is much the same as the Mazda6, in fact the cassette and MP3-CD modules are interchangeable. Theoretically someone could make an auxillary adapter that fit where the cassette module goes, but I don't think anyone has.

This company:

specializes in something like this, but they haven't addressed the new head unit yet. Does anyone know of other companies that might have something like this for the Mazda6 or RX8?

Thanks. Hope the post is welcome here

No such luck with pac-audio -- they said "maybe next year". But, these are the kind of links I need. Any more are appreciated.

Thanks!

Logjam electronics carries just about every adapter that is out on the market. I sent them an email when I was researching this subject a few months ago. They got back to me in a matter of hours. Good luck
