Anyone know of a model with a digital out that I can run to an external DAC? I have a Skyfi2 with home and car dock. I really love XM radio but the sound quality in the home dock sounds like a$$. Thanks in advance.

Might want to check the forums at XMFan.com I know that there are conversions available for some units that require soldering skills but some can beordered with the unit already complete. I had an XMPCR and I know that it had a daughterboard availabl to give it a toslink output forr around 50 bucks as a DIY project or you could send it somewhere to have i done.

Thanks but I stumbled upon a Squeezebox plugin that allows me to sign in on the internet then wirelessly send the music to my Squeezebox. The sound quality is a hundred times better than my skyfi2 homedock!!! Plus it also streams all of the station, song, and preset info. I'm still trying to decide on a DAC and I'm sure that will increase the sound quality even further.

I own the Polk Audio xrt12, which has a digital output, but I'm not sure if it would work for what your trying to do? At any rate it is a home audio component and would give you much better sound.....

you're better off using digital out of Directv receiver. XM sounds a lot better on Directv than ANY XM receiver out there due to wider bandwidth.
