I notice when copying shows from my dvr to a disc that I lose the picture for about 20-30 seconds near the beginning of the show. It always seems to happen right at the beginning of the show and the audio is fine.

It's not a big deal, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I'm not sure if it's the dvd recorder, the dvr, or I have a box that converts component to s-video which might be the culprit.

Thanks.

I am hoping someone will read this and help me. I really like my Toshiba Dr420, but after reading the instructions for making titles I still can not do it. Can any one help or am I a lost cause?

It may depend on the DVDs you are using. I had to experiment with my Toshiba Dr560 to get a title. I found that if I set a disc to finalize, a "title menu" is auto created. What I wanted was a Title List so I could edit it.

A DVD-RW in Video Mode only shows me a title menu, not a title list, so I can only PLAY from that Menu.

I found I could only delete a title to reuse the space IF the DVD is unfinalized.

A DVD+RW does not need to be finalized and if you make sure it is not set to auto finalize when done, then you will be able to get a title list, edit it, play from it, etc. You also see preview windows of each title recorded. Pretty neat.

If a +RW is finalized, you can unfinalize it by adding a new recording.

If a -RW is finalized on the Toshiba, the same unit can unfinalize the disc so you can add to it, see the title list, etc.

Hope this helps.

If the photo was hosted offsite(photobucket, etc.) you wouldn't have to log on(which requires registering) but since Digado's(and others) photos are actually hosted on AVS you need to log on. Hosting on AVS also has size limitations that are not present off site.
