Hello MICKINCT,

I just found this post, but since it is nearly 2 years old I hope you get my message.
I bought a Panasonic DMR-EZ28 around 6-8 years ago.
It was brand new from a big name retailer.
I never really needed it, so it just sat there.
Then about a month ago I decided to hook it up.
It worked for only 2 weeks of light use.
Now I get the message, "This disc is incompatible"
I use high quality Verbatim DVD+RW discs.
When I got the message I tried another DVD+RW disc and a DVD+R disc also.
I still get the same message.
Please let me know how to contact you for a possible repair.

Thank you

Steve

The DMR-EZ28 was first marketed in the spring of 2008. My EZ28 and EZ17 models have all been junked while most of my older, heavily used ES series models are still fully functional.

Verbatim AZO series DVDs are high quality Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) products while Verbatim "Life Series" DVDs are junk-grade products manufactured by China Magnetics Company (CMC).

Panasonic recorders, even those from the EZ series, are friendlier with the DVD "-" formats.

A Panasonic DVD Recorder that "just sat there" will still need to have routine cleaning of the rubber hub atop the spindle (turntable). See this post:

Send him a personal message on this forum. Post 27 in this thread is from him, just hover your mouse over his name and one of the options that pops up is SEND PM.

He has, in the past, been very prompt at responding to these messages.
