I am about to retire two of my beloved Panny's since I no longer get an analog signal through cable since the final step of the digital conversion took place. I have a third Panny hooked up to a DTA box so can still record channels available through that but the volume of recordings and the need to babysit the channel on the DTA box is wearing me down.
So, I'm considering getting a DVD recorder with a digital tuner. But before I do so, and being a non-technie, I wonder if I could impose on you all for an opinion?
My only interest in the network broadcast channels and PBS. I want to connect the cable directly to the recorder. If the DVD recorder has a digital tuner (listed as C-QAM) will it interpret the signal? I have a digital TV (QAM) with cable directly connected and it does get these channels.
Thanks in advance,
