had problems trying to read some disks that I needed to finalize ( ok we have all been there,, let them pile up & then decide to finalize)

I could NOT figure out why some disks would show up as "no disk" about 30 of them out of a couple hundred. very annoying.

THEN I came across the saliva method.biggrin.gif
seriously, I can't believe that really workedd!
thank you all.

now if I can get the door to eject all the time (it sometimes will not open). (panny E80)
& does anyone know why a finalized will disk will NOT play in my laptop? I have tried many, but only ONE so far will play right away when I pop it in the tray, no rhyme or reason as to content, & have tried exact (make) disks that were finalized. no go.
I thought if it was a program problem( to play it) that would be one thing, but since I got ONE to play, doesn't make sense.

I find this irritating as well on my E80. Until I get the chance to take the drive out and examine it, a temporary solution I found is to physically open up the door, and help push down those two vertical white posts while the drive is ejecting.
