That which may be known of God is evident within man, for God has shown it to them, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:19-20)

What devices are connected to your television, and how are they connected? I suspect you are using some kind of set top box becuase the EH68 does not have a North American tuner, so how is it connected to your DVD recorder? The more information and the more specific you are, the easier it will be for us to assist you.

Before my Panasonic EH-68 bit the dust due to a voltage surge, I had the problem of my Panasonic plasma TV not making a handshake with this recorder. I solved the problem by not having any HDMI inputs plugged into the TV set. I haven't had that problem with the Magnavox 515 I now use to record TV shows from my cable box. I think the EH-68 is missing some circuitry that identifies it to the TV that this unit is kosher for use as a recorder. With me, having an HDMI cable plugged into the TV had the effect of setting off a copy protect signal that ordered the DVD recorder to cease and desist recording. What a pain that was.
